LIVING WORD COMMUNITY CHURCH
WOMEN OF THE WORD MINISTRY
The Women of the Word Ministry Council at the Living Word Community Church is the leadership body and administrative arm of the Women's Ministry functioning under the leadership of Pastor Stephanie Beard who serves as one of two ministry advisors.
The Women of the Word Ministry at Living Word Community Church remains steadfast in the vision God has given to us. We are called to be bridge builders, pillars of love, nurturers, spiritual connecters, and relational specialists in our church and community by providing ministry that builds strong godly relationships with other women.
Our mission for ministry provides opportunities for women to journey and grow together in their faith, prayer time, bible studies, and fellowship activities. Empowering women to walk in their God-given purpose is the trademark of this ministry and we will continue to take strides with cultivating biblical understandings of our individual purposes and identity in Christ. Our desire, as 'women of the word', is to share God’s goodness as we seek to walk holy and upright before the Lord and share in His love for one another.

Habbakah 2:2-3: “Then the LORD replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”

Annual Event
Mother-Daughter Tea
May 14, 2011
My Dear Sisters in Christ:
"Be assured that from the first day we heard of you, we haven't stopped praying for you, asking God to give you wise minds and spirits attuned to his will, and so acquire a thorough understanding of the ways in which God works. We pray that you'll live well for the Master, making him proud of you as you work hard in his orchard. As you learn more and more how God works, you will learn how to do your work. We pray that you'll have the strength to stick it out over the long haul—not the grim strength of gritting your teeth but the glory-strength God gives. It's strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy, thanking the Father who makes us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that he has for us."
Colossians 1:9-11 (The Message)
The Mother-Daughter Tea is an annual event that is a hightlight of the year for everyone who attends. Every detail of this special day is orchestrated with you in mind. From the live classical music to the fragrant centerpieces to the amazing menu, this event is arranged to reflect the love in all of our hearts. This sensational experience offers each of us an opportunity to enjoy being a woman.

Guest Speaker
Charita Upkins
They say that you should never judge a book by its cover; even if the cover looks like a high-fashion beauty magazine. Since childhood, “beautiful” has been a word used to describe Charita (Moses) Upkins, but the physical beauty that she was born with is not nearly as important to her as the character that she develops daily through the choices she makes. Charita believes the vital part of her life’s purpose is to encourage other young women to focus on more than their outward appearance; and, to nurture their inner beauty, gifts, and talents so they can have the freedom to share who they were created to be with the world. Carrying out these tenets have helped her to weave together a life where she is free to see herself. (read more)
